Two exclusive pieces in satin-finished steel, part of a tea or coffee set designed by Gio Ponti in the late 1950s and early 1960s for Fratelli Calderoni, a historic Milanese company specializing in metalwork.

Both pieces feature engraved crests and monograms, and bear the "Fratelli Calderoni" stamp, evidence of their authenticity and origin. Ponti's production for Fratelli Calderoni stands out for a collection of steel pieces, primarily intended for the hospitality sector, where elegance and functionality merge to meet the aesthetic and practical needs of luxury environments.

Among the collections designed for the hotel industry, some notable examples can be found at the Parco dei Principi Hotel in Rome, designed by Ponti himself between 1961 and 1964. This iconic hotel, one of the finest examples of Italian modernist architecture, represents the perfect fusion of architecture and interior design.

The objects Ponti created for hotel spaces, like the pieces in question, reflect his vision of a refined and functional lifestyle.
